I have taken so many photos, some of which are on my Instagram page , I wish there was space to upload them here.

To create my ‘Happy Hydrangeas’ painting, I used watercolour, thick straight out of the tube, then went straight in with oil pastels to add texture and intensity. I have a feeling a few strokes of acrylic may have been added as I usually cannot resist adding acrylic to everything!

When I took my painting to my framer, we spent ages looking at numerous mounts in a range of colours. Each colour brought out a colour in the painting. In the end we settled on the purple plummy shade which was striking and we both felt, set off the flowers to their best! The wood frame is a soft white colour which again just sets off the flowers, like bouquet I would love to receive!

The first edition of the magazine SOLSTICE was recently published and is a new exciting project of the theatre company called Place Holder Collective.

It will encompass all things ‘creative’.

I had arrived in Sainte Maxime on Friday late morning (June 12th 2026), parked in the port carpark and took a photo of the trees David Hockney had famously painted.

The East Anglian countryside is stunning. There are so many paintings in my head just waiting to leap on to a canvas!

I work on 2-3 paintings at once.

My mother in law lived in the South of France for nearly 30 years,
